The Montreal Eye Clinic began in 1982, expanding to Longueuil in 2011. In October 2011, following the inauguration of the The Montreal Eye Institute in Ville St. Laurent, the two clinics joined the Institute to become satellite clinics, improving accessibility to patients downtown and the South Shore.In order to follow the North American tendency to group ophthalmic services under one roof, the design plans of the Institute were entrusted to an American company specializing in the creation and operation of leading ophthalmic centers throughout the U.S. We have a forward-thinking approach that allows us to offer patients, in a reassuring atmosphere, a service that is both fast and efficient.Experience a personalized approach1 - A team dedicated to your eyes:During your visit to the Institute, you can expect to meet one or more of the following specialists:• The optician or technician who perform your tests and explain the various options available to you.• An optometrist who will examine your eyes and can prescribe eyeglasses and certain eye drops.• The ophthalmologist who will examine your eyes and determine the appropriate medical treatment and surgery.2 - Your assessment:The Montreal Eye Institute has acquired the latest equipment to offer you a full assessment of the condition of your eyes, and a wide range of refractive surgeries for cataract and vision correction . The surgeon will discuss the different surgical options and select the most appropriate.
